Welcome to Dynasty Dance Challenge — a virtual competitive dance experience built for dancers who want elite recognition without the stress and expense of traditional events.
Our mission is simple: create a positive, educational, and accessible space for dancers to grow, perform, and shine—right from their own studios.

All routines are submitted virtually, judged professionally, and awarded nationally. With fair scoring, detailed feedback, and mailed awards, DDC combines the excitement of competition with the convenience of online accessibility.

Ages are determined as of January 1st of the competition year.

  • Mini: 5 & under
  • Petite: 6–8
  • Junior: 9–12
  • Teen: 13–15
  • Senior: 16–19
  • Adult: 20+

Bump Rule:
No dancer may compete more than two age divisions below their actual age.
For duets, trios, and groups, the average age is calculated (sum of all ages ÷ number of dancers) and rounded down if necessary.

Levels

To ensure fair competition, DDC offers three experience-based levels:

  • Debut – For recreational dancers or those new to competition. (No DDC Credit awarded.)
  • Competitive – For dancers with moderate experience and training. (No DDC Credit awarded.)
  • Elite – For high-level competitors. Eligible to earn DDC Credit toward future entries.

DDC reserves the right to adjust (“bump”) routines to a higher level based on overall scores and judge evaluation.

DDC welcomes a wide range of dance styles and creativity.
Each routine must primarily showcase the style entered:

  • Jazz: Strong jazz technique and energy.
  • Lyrical: Blends ballet and jazz technique with emotion and storytelling.
  • Contemporary: Expressive style combining modern, lyrical, and ballet.
  • Modern: Grounded movement and artistic expression.
  • Ballet: Classical technique with emphasis on form and grace.
  • Pointe: Must consist entirely of pointe technique (no acrobatics).
  • Hip Hop: Musicality, rhythm, and clean execution; explicit lyrics prohibited.
  • Musical Theater: Character-driven performance inspired by Broadway or film.
  • Acro: Emphasis on flexibility, control, and tricks integrated with dance.
  • Pom: Incorporation of poms, formations, and precision; no stunts over one dancer tall.
  • Open: For choreography that blends multiple styles or doesn’t fit a single category.
